Spaniard and Mestiza Produce a Castiza

This category strains toward greater purity; it is the beginning of the return to a higher caste. Protoeugenecists claim that contradictory physical characteristics begin to war with each other in this type. While the Castiza displays all the positive characteristics of the Spaniard in intellect and the social graces, she must continuously resist the desire to return to her more barbarous anti-social qualities . The Castiza is known for her seemingly random outbursts of violent behavior and bouts with profound melancholy. While this narrative is not good for marketing, we can spin it in a manner that reconstructs this type as very sensitive to her environment, and as having a poetic soul. This spin in conjunction with the increase in racial/ethnic purity should make sales possible. Counteracting the entrenchment of the former perceptions in folk wisdom will be difficult. The greater difficulty will be to introduce the Spanish model in the first place.
